The Alabama Entrepreneurial Research Network program has been established to enhance business development throughout rural Alabama and is offered through the Chamber in partnership with the University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration.


The Chamber has joined the (AERN) network to offer this unique opportunity to this area. If you are considering starting your own business or expanding an existing one, our (AERN) center has the following resources available for you: computer; printer; scanner; business planning software; and a set of specialized business reference books.

Information that you can acquire includes:

  • Steps to take when starting your own business
  • Industry and economic profiles of our county
  • Useful internet sites and links to becoming an entrepreneur
  • Checklists one needs to have when opening a business
